This is a beautiful tile made by San Jose Pottery Company Tile in San Antonio, Texas between 1931 and 1950. It is signed on the back "Made in San Jose Mission", with the characteristic "logo" of the maguey cactus in full bloom. it is 6" w x 6" h x 0.50" d. It depicts Mission San Jose y San Miguel de Aguayo. Gorgeous raised line technique and vibrant glaze. In very good condition with no cracks or chips. Never been set, has felt padding in back.
