These 5 demitasse cups and saucers were made by Mepoco Ware in Japan in the 30s and part of a big dining set. Each cup and saucer has the hand-painted image of a geisha in the center and below her the bottom half of the piece is a gold lusterware finish. Marked on the bottom is "Mepoco Ware, Made in Japan" in red and a flag. There is an extra saucer with this set. The cups and saucers are in very good condition for their age...no chips or cracks. The cups measure 2" across and hold about 2 oz. and the saucers are 3.75" across.
