    Measurement: Litho :24"H X 18"W Frame:29”Hx20.5” The owner typed the following text on the back of the painting in 1955 “The picture on this calendar titled " Kiowa Dancer" was purchased by Mr. Stresen-Reuter from the Denver Art Museum where it was exhibited In the Founth Anual Exhibition of the Contemporary American Indian painting. The original painting is a " tempera" politing by Mr. F. Blackbear Busin. Quoting from the National Geographic Magazine, dated March 1955, " In art matters, Bosin le entirely self-taught. While serving with the United States Marines he was hospitalized for six months in Hawall. There a friend, recognizing bie latent talent, encouraged him to make art his career." F. Bleckbear Bosin le a Kiowa-Comanche and he wrote us the following story concerning the pleture.
