This antique jewelry box was made in Japan. it has a Japanese scene on it, painted on wood. The top lifts up on hinges and has a secondary level that opens with two little doors. It's a music box, with the music mechanism on the inside (where the black section is in the photo), but it is not currently working. I don't know whether or not it can be fixed. One of the little doors has a loose hinge and the upper lid has some paint chips along the edges; otherwise, it's in good condition. I was told it was made in the 1920s, but I can't verify that.
