Made in Italy, and sold by the San Francisco Music Box Company. It has a pretty windup Romance melody and song it plays when you wind it and open it up. Online I've searched for this box and I can only find ones with either the beige velvet interior or a teal velvet. This is the only one with red velvet inlay that I've seen. Beautiful floral design on the top. Only flaw is that one of the legs is missing s other than that it's a beautiful and rare piece of carpentry and craftsmanship.
