Here's a vintage 60's original Playboy Club membership key. This key's serial number (E45391) starts with an "E" which ties it to the Atlanta, Georgia Club that opened in March of 1965. It provided Atlantans with a chic downtown party spot in which they could indulge their Hugh Hefner-fueled fantasies. The club featured entertainers like Dean Martin, Frankie Avalon, and George Burns. (see last photos for picture of club). The Rabbit-headed metal Playboy key was replaced by a metal key-card in 1966, and was required for admission to a club. They were presented to the Door Bunny. This key measures 2" tall and is in original condition, most of the black color on the top of the key is missing. Most Playboy keys were kept on the member's key ring and sustained lots of wear.
