Antique "ERIE" #8 cast iron skillet with the star makers mark. Very good restored condition. Manufactured late 1880s. This is a 2nd series ERIE skillet. Measures 11 1/4 inches wide at the spouts and 2 1/4 inches tall. The cooking surface measures 8 1/2 inches across. Weighs in at only 3 pounds 2 ounces! No cracks. Sits flat on a glass surface with no wobble or spinning. The exterior bottom surface is very good with some minor sulfur pitting that can be seen in the photos. The cooking surface is very smooth with minimal marks from age and use. About Cast Iron Archaeology: My name is Tony and I am Cast Iron Archaeology.
