Vintage Huge Repousse Tibetan Silver Coral Butterfly Pendant With Raised Animals An amazing artisan made this huge repousse Tibetan silver and coral butterfly pendant. There are four different animals in the front. Two are foxes, and two are birds. The back displays a doe (deer) in relief. The metal is heated and carefully worked from the back to raise the design on the opposite style. This technique is called Repousse and requires excellent metal smithing skill. The more detailed the design, the more skill is needed. The pendant is shaped as a butterfly or moth. The body is set with a heart shaped coral cabochon. It measures 2 5/8 of an inch (67mm) wide by 2 1/8 of an inch (54mm) tall. It weighs 1 ounce. The pendant is in excellent condition. There are no dents, scratches, or any other damage.
