It flowers from late March to late April, with slender flower branches and a flowering period of about 25 to 30 days. The fruit matures and is available from late June to early July. Gui Wei lychee is renowned for its excellent quality, featuring a small seed, crisp and juicy flesh, sweet flavor, and a hint of osmanthus fragrance. It is the most durable lychee variety in terms of storage and transport. The fruit retains its bright red skin and flavor for several days after harvest. The fruit is round or nearly round, medium-sized, with an average weight of about 17 grams. The skin is pale red, thin, and crisp, while the flesh is milky white. The edible portion makes up 78-83% of the total fruit weight. It has a soluble solids content of 18-21%.
