14k gold glasses that were made and worn back in the 1800s . These are an awesome and rare find. It's definitely a piece of history. I can't get the Progressive Lens clean. Age and moisture have affected that small Lens. The glasses measure 4.5 inches across, and the side earpiece is 4 inches. These come in the original case. Inside the case is the name of an eye doctor from 1947- 1950. I believe that these glasses were a gift to the eye doctor or maybe his grandfather's glasses. The price of gold is currently very high. I would truly hope that these glasses mean more to a collector than the gold that is in them. Antiques from my point of view have tremendous value to the world. They tell a story that none of us were there for.
